KNIFE CRIME DEFINED

CONSEQUENCES OF CARRYING A KNIFE

There are legal implications if a person is found to be carrying a knife in a public place. It is not a legal defence to carry a knife for protection as this is in breach of the law. Research has shown that you’re actually more likely to become a victim of crime if you’re carrying a knife.

YOUR FUTURE

Everyone is in control of their own future and it is important that you make daily decisions that will lead you towards the best possible outcome for your own life. As a young person you should look forward to what you can become in the future and work towards achieving your dreams. Crime will always have a negative impact on your life and the lives of the people around you who also want the best for you. Work towards having a bright future and enjoy the positive things life has to offer.

54 young people from Risborough attended a Junior Filmmakers 5-day film camp and produced the films on this website. Funded by the North West Chilterns Community Board, the aim of these films is to prevent young people from getting involved in knife crime.
